Deleting ABS and TCL

Post by vanadinite »

I'm trying to remove Traction control and ABS from my FTO, so far i unplugged both tcl and abs ecu and removed all fuses in the engine bay related to them(i think). My issue is im still getting error codes 71 and 72 and the engine wont idle properly, it moves up and down about 50-100 rpm in a cycle and it nearly stalls if i rev it over 5k (when warmed). Any ideas? is the ecu different in cars with tcl enough to cause thisn when they are removed.

i can upload a video of the idle if it helps.

I told you they have different ECU. Everyone reckons they are the same cos they haven't tinkered with that stuff before.

I reckon it's a dash out loom change job, even the TPS is different part number on TCL equipped models, ECU is most likely looking for different voltage ranges
