anyone ever put cruise control into thier fto? did the later models have it?

No i dont believe it was ever an option on fto's. But yes some people have fitted aftermarket units. I believe kustomfto has one in his.

Yep mine has a aftermarket cruisecontrol in it, it's awesome on long trips!! :thumleft:

No, it was installed by the previous owner, but he paid an auto eleccy to do it for him, when I get home I'll look through the receipts for you.

cool, thanks. i'm guessin that as long as the ecu has the right brains to do it then it's just a matter of gettin all the other bits. would something from another mitzy fit it? like lancer, galant etc.

just saw 1 on ebay for $230 as a kit. thats pretty cheap. anyone ever fitted one of these??

Okay, i had a look and all I could find was Gearknob cc $550. So i'm guessing that included the kit and installation, sorry I couldn't help out more.

I did have a quick look over google and I think ive sussed out the cruise control unit to be made by Goldcruise.

That said, you can fit pretty much any cruise control to the FTO. I looked at stalk, paddle and switch options before I settled on the gear knob option.

I took off the control unit at the top, and relocated, i'll take some pictures and show you. :)
