lsd swap?

hi guys quick qeustion if i buy a lsd manual box is it possible to pull apart my box and the lsd box and rip out the lsd and put it in mine?

why you make ask only beacause i know my box is a1 and been rebuilt

You would need the drive shafts that came with the LSD donor box perhaps other things (someone correct me)?

It can be done but yeah as said you need the shafts and just check with bennoz to be sure

U only need to change the drive shafts if there is a difference in splines ie 25-27 (the two different diameters) others wise of the same that will work
gotta get there one day :)

so that means i will need to change my hubs aswell? to a 27 spline?, actaully ill just change the spline on the hub end on the driveshaft with my standerd one and leave the box side 27

The hub side is all the same on every fto I'm pretty sure...

that's on the hub, but the shaft that goes into it is the same

Actually no there is a ring on the cv cup lol but if you had abs you'd just do that.. Lol

I'd love to do this swap, so I'd need the LSD, the gearbox that had the LSD fitted, and new drive shafts that fit?
I take it you can't just put the LSD in my current gearbox?
