100k Kit Your recommendations + Tested brands

Post by Invader_X »

Hi Guys,

Sorry for all these questions, I've had Zero time these days to do full blown searches - FTO Ireland is out (what happened to those guys).

But I am planning on just doing the full blown 100k Service for piece of mind.

I want the best for this car and I was just wanting to know a full list of things that should be done and not just parts wise but things like adjustments etc:

What I plan on doing:

Cambelt
Tensioner
Idlers
Water Pump
Hydraulic Tensioner
AC/PS Belt
Alternator Belt
Cam Seals
Cam Carrier Seal
Half Moon Seals
Spark Plugs (6x Iridium NGK)
Spark Plug Seals
Rocker Cover Gaskets

I'm going to be getting quotes around but it seems that most carriers here only stock Bosch belts, GMB water pump etc.

Is there anything else I am missing from my list?

What brands would you guys recommend for parts.

Thanks all!

6 or 1 1/2 dozen of the other...

Most of those things come in a kit from camskill

spark plugs as you said,
Water pump and hydraulic tensioner you should be able to get generic from your local parts store or amayama.com if you want to go oem

Oh and I've replaced the tensioner pulleys on both the alternator and power steering circuits and the harmonic balancer/crank pulley

Try source as much of it as you can, as I got pretty ripped off by needing everything ASAP, so had to get it all locally which was very expensive...

Am I missing anything else? As for half moon cam seals is is that another name for one of the seals I already have?

Do all these look correct?

I was dealing with dum dum yesterday and I've had to point out his mistakes when giving me parts.

I also have rocker gaskets, spark plug seals and inlet plenum gasket, the one he showed me shows 3 holes per gasket (comes in pack of two. I have a feeling the guy was getting me the exhaust manifold gasket :S Does anyone have the gasket handy for the plenum?

Thanks all

Half moon seals are different. You don't have them.
