What spark plugs?

Post by spetz »

Hey guys,

What spark plugs would be best in a mildly modified FTO MIVEC engine that will be used on circuit?

Thanks guys,

Those are iridium plugs though which have the benefit of longevity but is this something I need for a circuit car that will see in reality only a couple of hundred kilometers a year?

Copper is supposedly better for performance as it is a better conductor.

Additionally what about the heat range and the gapping, would I need to do anything different than what Mitsubishi advises?

And lastly, best brand?

Heat range: 7 (NGK) or 22 (Denso) for the MIVEC

Gap: 0.8mm

Brand is a matter of preference. I prefer Denso
