Single din motorised dvd or double dvd player?

Post by dr390 »

atm im deciding whether or not i should get a single din dvd or double din dvd
because i heard if i had a single din it might hit the air condition controls or cover it
and the double din will fit perfectly but i dont know whether or not it would be good because i think it might be too low....

need opinions? which one would be the best?

Double din by far, fills it out perfectly and looks so much better.

IMO the singledin ones look tacky.

I dunno, if I was you I would stay clear of the brands off eBay. I know when my JVC one had to be re-wired I took it in into my Audio shop and he said at first glance he thought it was a cheapy from the bay because they are constantly coming in & breaking sh*t.

In the end it's your choice mate but remember basically you get what you pay for.

Not saying everything off the bay is bad. Link the struts and we will have a look. But I have heard a few bad stories about the DVD players so just watch out ;)

Double Din for sure. Fills out the space nicely and looks great.

Here's what mine looks like with a Pioneer AVH-P4250DVD

I got one of those installed a few weeks ago. 2 DIN is definitely the way to go.

Ive bought several of the cheap double ones off Ebay for different cars. I personaly rate them. Had one die after 3 years, but was less than a third of the price of a named brand and the named brand had less functionality. That means that I would have had to have the named brand one for at least 9 years to make it worth it and quite frankly, I would have upgraded to something else before then anyway.

Exactly right.. Most of these cheap brands are made in the same factories with the same parts..

Screen resolution isn't too far off the mark.. And it's other features look pretty good.. Would be good to see if the GPS will work in Oz.. But yeah, just looks like you plug un a chip and it will work..

eonon is a well know ebay brand and i installed one of these in a supra and i actually like it.. might even get myself one. dont worry about those branded ones. the only difference i can see is the interface. but functionality is very similar if not more compared to the branded ones.
