On the passenger side there is a gromet about half way down, it's under the wiper motor and to the outside of the heater hoses.
It comes through the passenger floor, right in the left corner up under the glovebox.
It's pretty hard to get wires through, but it is do-able.
Some guys run a smaller wire or coathanger wire through first and then pull the power wire through with that.

Theres a few earth points up near the ECU which is passenger's footwell on the inside of the firewall that you could probably use I think.

My parents have there amp under the drivers seat and you can feel the heat in the cabin.
I would put it in the boot.
But it's up to you.

Trace your ECU loom down and under the carpet right up like between the floor and firewall there will be one or two big white plugs. They are screwed into the metal and earthed.

I don't think I have a pic, you should be able to find it though.

Eh, nothing wrong with strut tops. I scratched a little bit of paint under the rear strut bar and earthed there with an o ring wire connector through the strut bolt, under the strut bar...

The amp has a remote switching wire.
You can wire this to the remote switching wire coming out of your headunit (amp will turn on/off with head unit) or you can wire it to 12V acc wire (amp will turn on/off with key)

Correct. Fused power wire to amp, remote wire from head unit to amp, rca pre outs from head unit to amp (make sure they are far away from the fused live wire), earth amp to car body and you should be good to go.
