Seen it done a bit in the states.
Not that big over here yet, wait a while for the stuff to be more available and cheaper.

Definitely a sweet way of doing it.
There's a group on Youtube who do it professionally with great results.
Search for an White M3 Plasti-dip on youtube to see how it's done and how it turns out.

IMO, that stuff is the perfect way to ruin the original paint on your car, and only has a lifespan of a couple of years. Combined with the difficulty of spraying it (unless you're an experienced spray painter), I would rather save my money and get the car painted professionally instead.

Unless of course your original paint is cactus anyway, in which case you've got nothing to lose really.
I'll have an FTO one day... i swear!

until then:
1. 2001 Merc-Benz A160 (porta-loo on wheels)
2. 2007 Peugeot 307 TDi (more fun than you'd expect)
3. 2009 Mitsubishi Triton Di-D (a monster in its own right)
4. 1992 Nissan NX Coupe (club car and project car)
5. 1996 Holden SB Barina - "The Nugget"
6. 1996 Jeep XJ Cherokee Sport - The Budget Build
7. 2010 Toyota Landcruiser 76 Series - V8 Goodness... - Build coming soon.
8. 1990 Audi 90 manual - The delightfully dignified daily driver

I LOVE the look of this stuff! It's a shitload cheaper than getting your entire car resprayed (been quoted upwards of $5000). $569 for the full kit with clear (I hate matte paint with a passion!) sounds like an awesome deal to me. I'm so keeping an eye on this. Thanks illmotion :)

You guys realise this is just a funding drive at this stage right. Do you have to pay money now? If so, there is a risk you will get nothing back for it.

Also what a lame arse video

U think they could have put together a better promotion video than that

Seriously, grey??? And they didn't even show the end result??? :supergay:

It may be a great product, but I get the impression these guys have no idea, and you could easily end up doing your money...

I'm thinking a couple of layers of clear with glitter in it might be a fun idea. Was what I was planning on doing with clear coat and flake anyway, but this way I could do it myself :D

Plasti Dip is a solvent based paint. EBC Liquid Wrap is water based.

spray PVC isn't a new thing...
similar to the spray on condom... sounds like a good idea, but I wouldn't bet the next 18+yrs on it.

it just peels off, youd just do like a bonnet or something with it.

called plastidip, you can actually do it yourself.
