Carmate Fitment?

Post by 95Xena »

As the title asks, how is Carmate bodykit fitment? I'll be wanting a new Veilside kit soon and that's the only place I know to buy from.

It WILL all fit.. But it's a f**king effort job, nothing will bolt straight on.
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....
except maybe a p plater on a unicorn

Well you have a veilside bar that is already from carmate, that should tell you what kind of quality they put out.

It will... Eventually
Will have to take it to a pro, who will align sh*t up and make it all fit..
Or you can DIY and have a dodgey job like mine..

So basically don't expect to just throw it all on in one day and it cost nothing.....

If my car is any indication then it all fits quite nicely. But I don't know whether the previous owner put it on himself or had it professionally done. He didn't strike me as a DIY'er though.
Just wondered if anyone had actual experience with them.

Can you buy Veilside from anywhere else?

I was the previous owner

It took the panel beater and extra 5 hours labour to get it right. Nothing lined up at all.

That crappy old bar that Taz gave me has never been on my car - I know that was yours

I said my CAR. It has a full VS kit on it and it fits pretty well.

Have heard countless nightmare stories. My fibreglasser has a special hate for them as well as he had to constantly try and make them fit. Its possible that the reason yours fits is because someone paid to have it modified to fit. Or maybe you were one of the lucky ones. Personally have seen very few veilside bars that fitted properly (and ive seen a few).
