Thought you'd never come back! Thank you sir!
So you didn't have to mod the headlight? this is cool..

I might give it a go at welded version..

    Thanks!

dazjb wrote:I've done similar to mine. Bonnet is fibreglass so was easier to work with than the standard steel one .. I just extended the bonnet using fibreglass matting. Had to grind a bit off the top of the headlights as well so the bonnet could close properly but since they are lense-less lights it wasnt too hard a job.
    ^ Some grinding.

I'll be doing this soon. Just need to pick up the spare bonnet from Lawso.

Making a set of lense-less lights isnt too hard if your handy with body filler ... makes it much easier to do the bonnet. I'm making another pair at the mo, I'll take some pics and post up a guide if it helps.

Just to confirm as I've never been able to tell from pics, but there's just a piece of plastic/perspex/whatever cut to size and glued in front of the high beam bulb? Anything covering the low beam projector or is it just open?

Yep, piece of perspex covering the high beam, nothing over the low beam bulb. I've driven it in hard driving rain like this with no problems, so have others over here with the same headlights ... and we have much more rain than you do ;)

I'd be more concerned about stone chips than rain.
