Are these aftermarket headers?

Post by Technikhaus »

Does this exhaust/headers look stock or aftermarket to you?

The whole exhaust looks stock to me, except it's advertised as 2 3/4" aftermarket exhaust, and they're asking $1K...

The headers don't look like factory exhaust manifolds, they look like headers/extractors.

The center section and y-pipe look aftermarket.

The back section looks like stock.

But I don't have stock so I have nothing to compare it too really.

This ^^.

Stock headers will be a rusty colour as they are cast and the y pipe will normally have a steel woven section and that does not.

Sweet, still probably over priced at 1K, if it was 500 I'd probably look at buying it.
No one in NZ seems to know where to buy headers locally, and looks like I may have to bring some over from Aus :(

Would possibly be cheaper. RPW ones are about $560 AUD from memory

Yeah, that's not too bad, any idea on weight?
Are they actually worthwhile? Looking at doing a full 2.5" setup in the coming months, and looking at getting some.

Probably not as I have a high flow cat, but it'd be like $50 at an exhaust shop to swap flanges and fit it

If/when my project goes ahead mine will be available, and at this stage it'll be between you and Jack fighting for mine to the death but that won't be within the month haha

So long term there is another option if you can't get any

+1 This y pipe is one of the better flowing ones.......stock fto exhaust gases meet at an intersection but these flow in the same direction
