So annoying hey ! Sometimes it's cheaper to just do it and pay the fine
Orrrr, do it & have to pull it down :?:
 still do it to regulations.

Noo.. You do it to the council standards. Correct height, right sized beems footings, under 50m squared etc etc etc. then it's not deemed unsafe, still able get an engineer to sign off on it. Therefor don't have to pull it down

For SOME ! people, it's easier to pay the fine instead of waiting.

Ya muppet

sorry philo,
Awesome news, I bet it's exciting. Can't wait to be able to build my own place on my own land.

Update...

Sarah Homes site supervisor has looked over the site and expects the earthworks to start within the next 2 weeks.
He is waiting on the earthmovers to finish up another job.

We got council development/building approval for the shed.

We have ordered the shed, it will be built in January 2016.

We had to add some extra stones to our driveway to give enough hard surface to allow the builders (and fire fighters, if required) to turn around and drive out forward.
When it rains the red dirt becomes too soft to drive on.

We ordered a truck and trailer of 28 Tonne of road base/cement and it was delivered yesterday.

That is now 84 Tonne used, which cost $1k.

Yesterday I borrowed my neighbours tractor again to smooth out the stone and spent 5 hours with a shovel getting it just right.

This time I used my new (old) Hilux ute to pack down the surface.

Pics of yesterdays road construction...

There you go Phil, all sorted for you.

He also said he'd offer to lay every single one of those pavers for you while he's over here
