Car of The Year in Wollongong

Post by TomHenman »

Spotted last week in Fairy Meadow Coles :D
Needs a bit of love, but still pretty cool to see
Pretty sure it also had the original logbook sitting on the passenger seat

Also had a funny looking antenna on the rear window which looked stock?
    Potentially a factory option?

That would be TV aerials for a JDM after market head unit/TV tuner.
I have a set on the Galant which I need to remove.

Oh yeah! Saw that car (or another FTO that's very similar in the Wollongong area) parked outside Wollongong Uni as I was heading out. Maybe if I see it parked again I'll photobomb it with my own :P

Yeah, I drive a '96 silver GPX. Pretty much stock with a ghastly petrol stain under the fuel door (bought the FTO for cheap because of the paint's state). I'm parked out near the Wollongong Botanic gardens most times when I'm at Uni, so that's where you're most likely to find me haha.

Effort driving to uni! So expensive and such a pain to fit 3 people in for the free parking hahahaha

This might be a long shot, but was it you who I cruised along the Hume highway all the way into Wollongong with earlier this year? Fogged headlights and possibly something dangling from the rear vision mirror is the only things I could describe it by

Nor does the bonnet and the front bar is a different color to it as well.

Yeah, none of the panels aligned well at all, seems as though the owner doesn't really know what they have

No, definitely not me. I don't have anything hanging on my rearview mirror. My car is by no means tidy, but yeah. I'm also not a P Plater so any plate holders on the car or P Plates and it's not mine :P

Feel free to keep a look out though!

As for Uni, I don't fit 3 people in for free parking, I park on the opposite side of the Botanic Gardens near the houses where it's free :P I might hit you up for a cruise haha!
