Oh, and i was quoted $1050 for a CF Bootlid previously... so $550 sounds mighty enticing...

u r an ass lol

basically, i want to have everything "legal" when the whole car is done (still dreaming bout the awd conversion, but now i've decided to probably go with a VR4 set up rather than evo, cos i want to keep it a 6cylinder), so by painting it on both sides then no one will be any wiser.
the long part is the story justifying my reasons for wanting this cos as we all know cf is hot, so i'm not going to explain my reasoning. in a nut shell it's a mixture of my bad luck with the law and wanting a sleeper look...

true... lets hope that they dont bother cos it looks normal lol, i want to put all sort of stuff in my ICE so it means it'll put about 40kgs by the end of it all, so i have to shave enough weight to at least make up for it :)

so i'm in (cos the price) as long as i can afford it at the time.

Legalities on CF Boots are very hazy.. I have had my CF bonnet passed for RWC a few times... I have a good mechanic.
A boot... you'd have to get a pissed off cop to defect you for that one.
As in the FTOs, they have a hinged boot thats relatively out of the way, and not much structural bracing... Id say, most cops wouldnt care..
But technically... youd have to check your local road authorities

shipping to the UK would be in the $150+ area... Not sure..

even if the cost went up to $350 for shipping then $900 is still just £375 which is pretty good for a CF boot lid connsidering they are like gold dust here!

The only thing I will need to think long and hard about is the practicalities of getting it here. What is the realistic chance of it covering half the world without getting damaged?

Well i would assume it would have insurance... and people constantly import bodykits from japan...
But CF should be pretty strong.. (Better than Fibreglass anyway)
Feel free to look into it... I am willing to post to UK if you want..
Maybe find some other UK guys who want it? Send 2-3 at once??
