Get under there and have a look. Mine are at a wierd angle because all the rubber is worn!

With cars our age and the links being consumable I would guess that they are worn on most fto's.

Likely to be Droplinks and/or Bushes. Ben's Suspension sticky is where I learnt a lot from.

mr-charisma wrote:Most Auto dealers here either stock Superpro Poly bushes or can order them in, they're manufactured here so I think its actually cheaper. Just cost me $205 for all bushes.. you can get all but one set for about $110. Just get a price from Supercheap & go to Autobarn / Burson Autoparts or the manufacturer ( www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au ) & ask for a better deal

I'll have to get back to you on the Part numbers for the Links ..
Hey might give the bushes a go first and see what happens. Whats the Part number numbers??

Thanks

Might get some new droplinks...
Just thinking if lowering the car makes the rear anti roll bar less effective when you dont have the special shortened drop links. might be where my understeer is comming from...? :?

As it turns out the wrx STI 04-06 rear drop/end links are exactly the same as the fto's... http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/instru ... KLC047.pdf

also did some searching and there seems to be quite a few different "performance" ones made up for them (besides the whiteline ones) by US companies. performance as in, the more solid the drop link the more supposedly responsive the sway bar/cars handling will be. but i think they're just more sturdier/longer lasting. cant really imagine a drop link flexing with the suspension... they're only small...

also found out that the adjustable ones are for setting up the drop link and sway bar so that when the car is sitting normal, the sway bar end (per side) is horizontal and the drop link can then be dead vertical... which is supposed to optimise the effectiveness of the sway bar so that its not preloaded or underneath the working range or whatever. which would change per the height that your suspension is set if its not stock, im guessing.

sounds like adjustable is the way to go if you really wanna optimise your suspension/ARB for the track etc.

going to go get some whiteline ones i think instead of camskills

the max rear ARB size for the fto is 22mm anyway...the reaallly sturdy droplinks would only be usefull for the sti when using 27mm+ ARBs during motorsport and need to last a while.

they look pretty though:

whiteline has an alloy one aswell...

Ok, it looks like this GB is going nowhere fast...

I'm going with the RPW GB for Magnecor leads & braided brake cables, so if this GB does end up going ahead it will only be for droplinks..

I'll contact Camskill & see if they'll go ahead with it with 7? people..
