GROUP BUY: 2 Way radio package

Post by smorison »

Hey guys.
I’ve been able to secure a group buy on these radios, they aren’t like your normal cheap ones that drop out of range really quickly – as all those with radio’s have discovered. These ones are three (3) times more powerful compared to the cheapo ones most of us use already. This is a MUST for anyone who regularly attends cruises, it’s the quickest safest way for the cruise leaders to share information with everyone. It also means that we can all chat AS A GROUP whilst driving. The hands free kit also means that we are not in violation of state traffic laws regarding mobile devices. These ones have an open air range of 8km's the ones we normally use start to get inaudible at a bit over 1km.

So what’s the deal? Well we get:
- Radio
- Car Charger
- Head set
- four rechargeable batteries

The normal Retail price for this kit would be $163.30.
This group buy price is 125.00. + $10 for shipping (if you are outside of Sydney)

If you are in Sydney you will be given your new kit at the next meet.

The only catch is we require a min order of 10.

FEATURES
- Covers Australian 40 UHF CB channels and repeaters
- Green backlit LCD screen
- 1.5W maximum RF output
- Range up to 8km
- No license required
- Low / High power setting
- Fully compliant with Australian Communication Authority guidelines
- Channel scan & call alert
- Key lock to prevent unwanted, accidental key entry
- Battery condition bar graph display
- Transmit confirm LED
- Removable belt clip
- Dual time & stopwatch function
- Vox (voice activation)
- Push button volume and channel select
- Call tone transmitting
- Provision for vox operated headset / microphone
- Powered by 4 x AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries
- Rechargeable batteries are charged inside the handset (mains charger available separately).
- Size, body only 120(H) x 65(W) x 35(D). Antenna length 57mm

Orders will close on the 15 March, 2004.

Don’t miss out on this offer it’s the best going around town at the moment. For those that are coming on our interstate cruise this is the sort of thing if you buy you'll wonder what you did on past cruises without one!

from personal experience using 2ways whilst driving the head sets are a must, you can hear better whilst driving with it.

Car chargers are a must as well cause we constantly have people running out of batteries making their 2ways useless.

HI Stephen,
Just a quick query with these. The product description you posted explains that a mains charger is available as an extra outside of the group buy right? SO then the car charger wil be fine to charge these rechargeable batteries, and if all else failes it will be fine to use other batteries in the handheld?

Thanks in advance.
