Hey guys,
Lets start a new thread in the DIY section, on how to put on these covers.

Like the equip you need, how to get seats out, how to take the covers off etc..
Just so it doesnt clog up this thread and so people have a future reference on how to put them on in the future.

Tim

-- It appears only moderators can start new threads in DIY.. Can a mod start a thread in there please, Specifically for car seat re-trims.

How do you take out those little brass ring things? In the back seat?
Do we just pull em out? Cut em? will we need em to put the seats back on??

Take the rings off anyway you can - discard them afterwards and replace them with cable ties.

To take off the seatbelt guide pop out the rubber covers and unscrew it.

I didnt refit the guides so I didnt make holes...

If you guys going to do it as a group thing, make sure you have at least 2days, & start early in the morning. Or you guys going to have lots of mini meet.

Seeing as though I dont have my car yet. Could you guys maybe on your mini meet seatcover helper thingy maybe take some piccies, stage by stage? And also do up a DIY with the piccies? I know it would definatly help me and anyone else in the near future. Cheers :D :D

ok Kaz,

Let us know when u recieve it so we can all come up. If we do the covers car by car, 4 people will be way more than enuf to do them quickly. I reckon it will take about a day or a bit less if we start early.

Hi Guys, I've done mine (husband pressure!) but I'm more than happy to supply my now extensive knowledge to help out. Everyone is more than welcome to come to my place for instructions and help. PM me if interested and bring along your strongest hands cos I have to say with the both of us working on it we are suffering with sore hands today.

I will supply BBQ for being such a slack ass and going ahead without u lot. But maybe it will work to your advantage :D
