**UPDATE:** EOI/Group Buy - Centre Console Bit - In CF

Post by rnbboi »

Hi guys,

Am just wondering if theres any interest for the Centre console bit (the part that snaps so easily ) if I can get it made in carbon fibre.

The part will be made in CF - not a cover up job.

Ie: A brand new surround in CF.

However, the design will exclude the Cigarette holder bit - it will just be plain. This is due to the fact that CF does not bend easily. To what I know, the cigarette lighter/12v thing will still be there.

Thanx

Atm, I do not have a price.

Am looking for interest. But the guy Im dealing with is willing to negotiate as long as theres interest :D I just wanna generate some interest before I go too deep into it.

If can get enuff interest, I can start haggling with the supplier -I need a min of 5 interests

what do u mean by painting it schumie... I thought your not suppose to paint CF

You can paint CF just fine, but you lose all the added fwkw and wank factor if you do.

And yes, i'd be very interested in a CF console replacement, up to $350. I'm not fussed about the ciggie lighter or the ashtray.

CF wouldnt really match my interior, then id have to change everything or get it all covered, im sticking with a 2 tone black/grey as per my seats... my armrest/centre console is covered with leftover vynel (vynal?) and im thinking i might buy some more and do the dash speakers and maybe the grips on the door arm rests, but my main focus is on a paint job and body kit this year now.... thats my reason :D

Dudey, why would you paint it? It's not exactly like it's going to save you any weight. :P

Do you know how much the centre console weighs??

Answer= F*** ALL.

$350 or similiar for a VERY minimal performance gain from little weight reduction is questionable.

The looks and feel of cf would be why anyone would buy it.

My 2cents

It should also be much stronger then the original plastic (ie. the type you would get if you shelled out 300bux to buy a new one from Camskill)

I'm looking at the absence of any surround and a bunch of wiring and i'm thinking that CF would go quite nicely.

Okz guys, i got the price.

A price that u guys should not be able to refuse

Its $150 a pop - not inc postage. Guys, this is in real CF, and its costing u less than the original plastic surround if you were to buy it now on ebay :!:

Since CF weighs so little and its not a big piece, im sure postage wont be that much if it was to be posted. Ill let u know how much postage is later on if need be. For those based in Melb, I can always pick em up for yaz and meet up with u guys

So lets get this rolling then hey?

**EOI/GROUP BUY - CARBON FIBRE CENTRE SURROUND $150:**

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

just add your name to the list guys.

As for other CF parts, lets get this rolling first - then i'll move on to the next thing (i hope  )
