Received mine on monday and installed on tuesday.
Took me about 3hrs to change leads and plugs.
The car is running a lot smoother now and seems more powerful.
The only problem i had is that 1 lead was too short and i had to run it a different way i'm just not sure if it will melt there. It goes in between the intake and the metal rocker cover thing(not sure what its really called).
I just hope i have the right leads, they all seemed to be a little bit short :?

What do you guys think?

Also, not sure if this is related, but this morning i was driving home and the car just died in the middle of a roundabout. I almost hit the gutter when i lost power steering. Then it started up fine after and didn't do it for the rest of the ride home. (i was playing with the heater(aircon) at the time)

umm.

which lead was it? or which cylinder? use Bennoz' picture in the previous page as a guide.

Can you measure the stock lead lengths and post this up please - I'm not sure myself. everyone can then check their new lead lengths to ensure everything is ok. Because these leads were made for each person they might have made a mistke on yours.

I have spoken with Andrew from Kudos and he will arrange with the QLD distributer to see if we can get an exchange done there.

Firstly post up the stock lengths and we can go from there as the ppl who have recieved theirs can check. Obviously its hard for u without taking off the inlet manifold..

Yeah check 'em against the original leads... I went thru this before. They are all different lengths & each one goes on a specific spot.

Chris,

I have done the measurements of the 3 leads. Each one is different and looks like it definitely requires specific fittings.

Anywayz, the approximate measurments for each lead (not including the black bit) are:

1)58cm (longest lead)
2)48cm (middium lead)
3)42cm (shortest lead)

My stock leads are(measuring only the visible bit of wire).
1. 61cm
2. 61cm
3. 46cm

The Leads i receved were 3 different lengths, about the lengths rnbboi posted. 1 was way too short and the others were only a bit shorter, but reach fine.

I put them to the right leads and swapped them over and things to see if different leads would fit in different places but 1 was always too short.

Are the GR Leads different lengths to the GPX(mines a GPX)?
I thinking i got the wrong leads :( But they do seem fine, but i'm just worried they might melt.

thanks mate.

I will chat to Kudos tomorrow and we will talk to the people who made these and working soemthing out. I suspect they are all have been cut too short.

There are different ones for the GPX and GR...maybe the have made GR ones?

THis will need to be worked out and I will try and alert everyone.

Not happy Jan.

I think there has been a mix up.
Stock GPX Leads:----Magnecor GPX Leads:----Magnecor GR Leads:
61cm-------------------58cm------------------------65cm
61cm-------------------48cm------------------------62cm
46cm-------------------42cm------------------------48cm

I think the Magnecor GR leads are the ones needed for the GPX.
Those lengths are slightly bigger than stock GPX ones, which is needed because of there increased thickness.

Someone measure the stock GR leads please.

I guess i'm gonna have to go and take off mine now.

same, from the last time i took the manifold off and the estimate length from the picture which is the same as the one i got ... it does look a bit short

i don't want to spend a couple hours open it up and found it's too short or dangerous to fit it in :(

not happy
