How long are you down for?

I would most definitely be recommending the East Coast tourist route to tourists! Don't bother with the West Coast too much if you're short of time. Not missing out on a great deal there.

Feel free to add me to your MSN (preludetas@hotmail.com) and I can tell you some great places to go!

When are you coming down?

not sure yet but in a few weeks...maybe month.

I'm looking for a weekend so about 2 days worth of driving I heard Cradle Mt is the go.

Any good web sites u know of?? Or any particular places on the east coast we should stay?

Looks like a awsome drive.

Check out http://www.tasvacations.com/

These guys put together the packages for the Porsche, WRX, Ferrari etc clubs that organise tours down here. I used to help the WRX club as they have 40 odd cars come down here every 2nd year for Targa Rex.

East Coast is good.............you can generally get a great deal at Freycinet Lodge on www.wotif.com.au. This is a great spot!

East Coast has good scenery, good seafood, good vineyards and great roads.

Don't discount the West Coast either........there are some great things to see around there, there is a bit to do at Strahan, reccomend a stay at Franklin Manor.

If you really want to go to Cradle Mountain I suggest you stay at Lemonthyme Lodge.

PM me if you would like any more info.

Cheers

Funny you should mention that.............may be sooner than you think. :-)

Then again "ALL" of our roads down here are the equivalent if not better than the Nebo/Glorious route so I doubt my FTO will drive on QLD roads again.

Not meaning to hijack a half decent thread.............

BTW we also have 98RON BP Ultimate down here these days as well.

Cheers
