As seen on Ebay

Post by Bennoz »

Have seen stickies like this other car forums, a good idea I reckon :)

Specifically for FTO bits you find on Ebay at a good price. Try & keep the inane chatter out of here unless it's directly related to a part.

First up, I've just ordered & fit a set of these droplinks. A pair for $50 & no postage is a too good a deal to pass up, so I bought 2 sets :P

With current conversion rate, droplinks from Camskill are about $32 + postage. Not sure what the postage cost is, it may well work out to be the same.

Ben, let us know what the quality of these are like vs the Camskill ones.

I looked at these but went Camskill as I had other items I needed as well, so Camskill was cheaper.

Nice idea mate .. only problem is that ebay removes the records of auctions after a while, so later down the track you're left with a bunch of dead links to old ebay auctions

Probably better to list the details / take a screeny of the main portion of the item details & pics & upload them?

I bought a full set of drop links from Camskill and it was cheaper (including conversion and postage) than anything I could find on Ebay at the time.

Not a bad suggestion, except arguably once the item is sold there isn't much point in looking back retrospectively anyway?

Yeah but who comes here looking for old for sale threads? :?

This is so you can report in a bargain, or hard to get bit that you've found & a regular visiting member (such as you two!) can then snap it up.

Its not rocket science! Most ebay auctions go for 7 days, other products being sold by 'super sellers' are usually on until it sells, or until the quantity they have (such as the x 10 available on the droplinks ad) are sold.

Couldnt agree more ben.

fair enough .. in that case I found an awesome bargain the other day on a Tiptronic gear knob replacement

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Automatic-Gear-K ... 5886724066

Only $39 for a Momo lookalike & this thing is good quality & classy as hell

Link to official MOMO one & price tag of $241 - http://www.modyourcar.com.au/momo-autom ... -knob-p952

BTW - These aren't just for Auto / Tiptronic - I liked my leather MOMO one so much that I installed it on my manual shifter & just mounted it so that the button doesn't depress

Finally got off my arse & ordered my cross brace. I've been holding off the $99 ebay one because I reckon its a bit dodgy & was looking at the Cusco one, but by the time you add freight from Perfect Run, it ended up being almost $250. So I finally found the Ultra Racing one on US Ebay for $144 with free international shipping :) Hopefully this will help iron out my torque steer issues!
