Were you in an FTO? Should have given me a toot ;)
nah man, i flew over from adelaide, was in my godfathers hyundai i30 turbo diesel. (awesome car in manual btw). unfortunately, im no longer an owner of a FTO. i sold mine about a couple of months ago now. and now i am seeing them everwhere. a few hours before yours i saw a black one in the blue mountains, near scenic park.

Turns out the fuel pump was fine. Problem was the crank angle sensor. The drive belt had stripped a rib and pulled on the wires. When we couldn't get the pump to run we didn't look any further on Saturday. Wouldn't have made any difference anyway as we didn't have a spare...

Anyway, it's all running again now :D

Just gotta get this eManage installed and working for EC now!

Interesting. Once the crank angle was replaced, did the fuel pump make its priming noise?

Yeah, not sure on the priming when you turn the ignition on...
But the problem with our testing it by wiring it direct to a battery was that I was using a test light lead, and it looks like this wasn't able to carry enough current to run the pump...
When I connected it with a straight wire the pump ran fine.
So everything's all running fine again now :)
