Note that the black box is attached to a metal rod and needs to be careful when separate them as everything else is plastics.
Also be careful of opening the box and be sure to remember the orientation of the components inside the box.

no problem mate. This confirms that it is a common problem. And this exercise to get rid of the ticking sound is so worth it!

just thought i'd bump this back up for anyone experiencing the clicking sound! the above picture helps a lot when all the little cogs come flying out of the box!

Yes! Thats for sure....But if you have played with tamiya cars in your younger days you be a pro to put them back in place.
