Did you end up buying this? Was it the correct fit for our engine?

And Payaya, have a closer read of the manual ffs
You have a GR, it has hydraulic tappets as you pointed out for valve clearance adjustment, not that you can adjust them of course.
Our superior GPX Mivec engines don't, the 'Arm Spring' in the photos with the blue arrows that you keep referring to as a 'lifter' has nothing to do with valve clearance adjustment, it's sole purpose is to 'damp' the Mivec rocker when it's in 'floating' mode while not engaged, ie when our superior engines are spinning at less than 5500rpm.
Feck I'm just listening to what you guys are saying. In the DIY you guys have arrows pointing to the rocker arm as a tapper and others are mentioning the arm spring as a hydraulic lifter.

I know the arm spring has nothing to do with a valve clearance adjustment, just like a lifter, it is there is dampen the rocker, but if the arm spring is out of spec, no amount of adjustment will get rid of the rattle/tick. Its obviously wearing out so that's why you Mivec boys are still getting the tick even after an adjustment! Right??

Just an update guys/girls :
My mechanic have finally done the tappets on my GR engine (at 256,000km).
Things replaced/redo :
1. all lifters replaced
2. all piston rings replaced
3. all crankshaft brgs replaced
4. others sparkplugs, oils, gaskets replaced
5. port & polish

RESULTS

1. GOOD - no more tappet noise, none. Excellent fuel consumption 500km/tank mixed.
2. Baaaddd - above 4k rpm, there's a buzzing sound coming from the engine and getting louder as approaching 5k. The engine doesn't seem willing. The practical top speed is only 120km/hr.
Anybody having the same experience ? Does the engine/crankshaft need balancing ?

Sounds like he got your timing belt wrong..

But it shouldn't be us diagnosing it, go back to you mechanic. You've probably paid him a pretty penny for all that work...

I think you're right Mr.Bennoz.
My mate who's quite familiar with this V6 crap is saying the same thing.
Will get it done in good time - just watch it guys/girls when changing your timing belt .
