Well with your engine light.......
If no codes are currently stored, it will simply flash continually, once per second.

I suggest first change your fluid to eleminate that from the equastion :D

The workshop manual is confusing. In diagnosis mode 2 hertz a second means no codes. If your n light flashes 2 times a second when you are driving then it means it's overheating.

You have no codes stored on your TCU or ECU.

Does your trip meter reset every time you turn off the car?

If you push in the odometer button and hold it in for a couple of seconds the counter changes to the trip meter. While in the trip meter, if you press the button it will reset it to zero, you can use this to check how many km's per tank or how many km's travelled for a trip. If you push and hold the button again it will change back to the odometer reading.

It's the other way around, press once to change to trip and hold for a few seconds to clear it.

This is what you do. Next time your car does it turn your car off to the "on" part of your ignition and not off. So one click back. Then ground pin 1 and see if the code shows up then.

Doesn't the N light meant to light up like the check engine light for a while then start flashing?

The permanent positive to your TCU may be stuffed.
