Have you taken the bumper off yet? I believe it has to come off.

yep, many have tried but it seems like a bigger job than its worth. maybe do it if you get a body kit put on, then u will take the front bumper off. i want to take my lights off to paint in there. just waiting till i buy a new front:) if you find an easy way in the mean time, please let me know.

You should be able to get the front bumper off in less than ten minutes. Not really a big job at all.

you can get the lights out and the bumper off in less than an hour if you got a set of tools. it's very easy.
I am in the process of manufacturing angel eyes for mine.

how did you go anyway, cause i tried a trial run and made a total mess of the rod.

hehe i had a broken light to test on, mine came out really good.

debbi, BMW have what they call an angel eye..I/we are trying to recreate this look...its just a ring of light around the headlight.

seems easy enough..but its been a mission :?

I put the lights in front of my fan heater while watching tv. they came apart really easy. the trick is to get it as hot as you can handle touching. i think one had been apart before though cause it had different coored goo in it.
what did you use to shape the rings around?
