Error 22,32

Post by benrad666 »

Hey guys just a few questions. I'm getting engine code errors 22-crank angle sensor and 32-vacuum sensor.
The car is also not idling correctly it's constantly revving up and down. I'm guessing the stepper motor?
Or could the chasing at idol be cause by the faulty sensor as above?
And is there a way to test the sensors? or would u recommend just replacing them?
thanks in advance :D

It's probably your crank angle sensor or your vacuum sensor.

Well replaced the crank angle sensor.
Been searching for a vacuum/map sensor and don't seem to be any in Australia.
Anyone have a second hand one??
Or is there another mitsubishi using the same part I could order?

Well now iv replaced the crank angle sensor and the map sensor. Only to find that both waring lights are still there :x disconnected the battery for 15mins too reset, but didn't go away :( Do they need to be removed with the mitsubishi scan tool/computer??
Also it's still chasing at idle, only when first started. Ordered a new stepper motor see if that stops it.

Well its idling funny because of your vacuum error code. If you are getting a crank angle sensor reading i doubt the engine is running. Yes the fto shares the same map (vacuum) sensor as the 1.5L lancer/mirage. Hopefully this will fix your problem.
