Soooo..

Today, temp got up to 3/4 and just stayed there.

For some weird and whacky reason, when I turned my indicator on, the temp gauge went down (not smoothly, it jumped down) a little bit. I turned the indicator off after only one tick, and turned it back on again after a few seconds. When the indicator ticked after turning it on the second time, the gauge jumped down a bit further. I repeated this until it got down to half way....

What the f**k?

This car is possessed, someone take it.
I fix cars.

LOL!

That is some weird sh*t right there... The wiring and sensitivity on these and the GTO has always pissed me off... The amount of electrical gremlins a mate had when putting an alarm in a GTO was ridiculous ..

So the indicator now acts as the engine cooling system ... Nice... :thumleft:
I just had to add it ......

Cluster isn't pushed in all the way, take cluster out and make sure its sitting in the plugs all the way and screw it down with all 4 screws

Would this not mean that the gauge is giving a very delayed reading?

Why can I not just have one car that works.. just one..

Well, except the RPM tacho played up the first day I listed her for sale... Maybe she is trying to get back at me for selling her on :?:

As silver said.
Sounds like the cluster is not plugged in properly, or some contacts have oxidised.

Temp gauge oddity, and tacho stopped then started again, they're both in the...... that's right, gauge cluster.
