First of all, make sure there is no coolant leaking. Check overflow bottle and open radiator cap so you can see there is coolant. If you don't see coolant, perform pressure test. I would suggest to check fans first that make sure working then check bottom radi hose so you will find out thermostat is open or not. If all above ok, I would probably do coolant drain and refill, air bleeding and check over again. If vehicle still overheating, it might be a coolant temp sensor.
