New Shock Absorbers?!

Post by notoriousTASH »

Hi guys, I've called multiple places regarding new shock absorbers. I've sourced out brand new KYN shocks for the rear, however I am having absolutely no luck finding new front shock absorbers. Any help will be great. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks for the help guys, strangely when my friend who works at Supercheap contacted KYB they said they only had the rear shocks for FTO's. Then when I gave him the model number you have me through the eBay link for the front left and right, the guy at KYB says he has them. Mustnt have them listed to fit on FTO's or whatever. Anyhow, again thank you so much for the help. Pretty keen to get these new shocks installed so my car sounds less like a cab.

Also hoping that it will fix this terrible crunchy creaky sort of sound coming from somewhere around the front left hand side of my car whenever I brake and turn around hard bends in my work car park.

I would say that has something to do with the droplinks.

And yeah, never ask shops for parts for a FTO...they never seem to have it. If they do, they have a 200% mark up. Find the part numbers from here first and give them the part numbers, they will have them in stock or will order them in for you easy. As soon as they hear a car's name which is not a Commodore or a Falcon or a local Toyota, their brain goes into hyper denial mode :P

Yeah, I can't believe the shocks that will fit my car also fit my grandmother's car.

My friend who works at supercheap is getting me a great deal for the shocks. I'm pretty happy with the price.
