Auto Transmission
Not too sure about anyone elses but my auto box skips 2nd gear when downshifting, and is quite jolty with the change to 1st from 3rd.
Is this normal or would somthing be faulty?

Re: Auto Transmission
Yep is normal, will only go to 1st from 3rd at about 5km/h or less and will only go through second if you do it in tip.
I fix cars.

Re: Auto Transmission
Which, after reading about tips, you should let the box decide when to downshift!
Unless you're on a track, never use the box to 'brake'.

Re: Auto Transmission
If clunky, change the transmission oil unless you have done it recently. And use the correct stuff.

I only use the tip to speed up
What would be the correct oil to use? not sure when it was last done so it cant hurt right?

+1 to Dwayne's advice. Mitsi formula I found to be smoothest at the moment which has surprisingly dropped in price at the dealers. Picked up their SPIII formula at $50 for 5 litres
