calling all viscous lsd owners

hey guys. need your help. i have a viscous lsd in my gearbox and need a new shaft, the original shaft was stuffed and thrown out. its proving impossible to find the shaft anywhere so was hoping some one could help me out if the know the part numbers or have one in their fto an wouldn't mind sharing the vin with me so i can find it using the Mitsubishi data base

thanks mate, and that was an option put in the car from factory?

sorry to be anal but its what mitsubishi told me to check

As far as I know all the numbers on my car match from factory.
I'm sure I did a VIN decode years ago which showed the numbers, not Complete FTO, an overseas site.

But I can't be 100% sure.

These are the "complete axle" part numbers that come up with my VIN#
RH = MR196436
LH = MR196435

Actually I believe I done my VIN# search at Mitsubishi Japan site.
I don't have time to research tonight, but I might get time to research tomorrow.

Mike, do you want to flick me your VIN? Your's will have the viscous LSD. CAPS/ASA only narrows it down to the full 'joint kit', but that would be a start.

Hmmm, based on that chassis number, ASA is wrong.

It's feeding me the same part number for both sides: MR232222. Which makes no sense as we know both are different.

Odd, it shows different PNCs but then the same part number but different part names...

Yeah that's weird... unless it's for a set? Unlikely... know where the part number would be on the shaft?
