Limp Mode & Other Stuff...

Post by ObsidianRadio »

Hey all,

Pretty sure I've been hit with the dreaded limp mode. Tiptronic won't work and the car's jammed itself in third gear. However, my indicaters are also not working. Is this normal? Car was fine yesterday and this morning... Took it out the driveway this afternoon and just as I was shifting from 2nd to 3rd, it just went into limp mode and my indicators stopped working. I checked my internal fusebox and the blue 15 fuse was blown, so I replaced it... Didn't seem to fix anything though. Have disconnected my battery in attempt to re-set everything, but I doubt it's going to achieve much.

What should I do? Really worried as my first day at law school is tomorrow :( :( :(

Nice.

Although one would suggest that the fuse blew for a reason in the first place. Have a quick look at the whole circuit linked to the fuse that popped. You can find what it is here - http://ftoaustralia.com/v3/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15276
I fix cars.

I had my taillights out earlier in the day so I took them out and had a look at the wiring... Put them back again and made sure the wire wasn't being pinched anywhere and I've had no dramas since. Thanks man!
