Stuck with map sensor error

Post by benrad666 »

I'm getting error 32 vacuum/map sensor. Iv replaced the sensor and reset the ecu. Checked wires, all seem good. After a reset, I don't even need to start the car and the error code is there. The error code don't go away I had a mechanic try to erase codes on a scan tool it still wouldn't go away.

Vac leak or something isn't connected properly. Could be problem on the loom side of the sensor.
I fix cars.

Ok fixed!! Turned out there was a mivec controller on this car at one stage and the plug was still there, they had disconnected one of the map sensor wires and ran it to the controller. Just took the mivec plug out completely and connected the wires back up to there orignal spot. After many many headaches glad its sorted,, it's now hitting mivec too :D

Mivec controllers do nothing anyway. Mitsu's engineers got it spot on from factory.
I fix cars.
