Hi guys,
I recently changed the front hub carriers.
One one side though once I tried to tighten the bolt on the ball joint of the LCA, it would spin and i could not get it to tighten.
Is there a remedy to this, or is it broken?
The ball joint is also weeping grease out of it, does this have anything to do with the issue?
Thanks

The ball joint weeping grease means it needs replacing.
also...
Does the ball joint have either; an allen key hole in the end of the stud or a nut shape on the base of the stud to hold it still with allen key/spanner while tighening it up?

Just means the ball joint is spinning. Try levering the hub right out to put some pressure in the shank of it. Doing that in combination with a rattle gun can save you a lot of cursing.

Does the LCA need to come out to replace the lower ball joint?
I didn't notice anything in place to stop it from moving.

If its fucked just grab a set of multi grips and hold the shaft still inside the boot
And yes because the balljoint needs to be pressed in

Re: Front LCA ball joint spinning
I just installed new front suspension on the Galant and all 4 lower ball joints spun.
This is how I tensioned them up...
I jacked up the suspension from under the ball joint until it had enough weight on it to hold.
