Pre facelift light cluster wiring

Post by mark12 »

So basically my parkers/fog lights were screwing up a lot and they were very dull when they ever did work.
I decided today to take the bumper off to sort it all out..

All was going fine and I replaced both parkers with no issues. however as you can see from the pictures below, the wiring on the passenger side cluster is completaly f***ed

this is casuing the wires to touch and to short out constantly :/

anyone have some ideas as to what I could do to secure them so that this doesnt keep happening?

Rip all the old sh*tty tape/heat shrink off then strip off all the old solder and crap.

Re-solder then heat shrink properly and she's good to go.
I fix cars.

Buy the plug from someone wrecking.
Just make sure they leave you enough wire to connect to.
