Post by bjk »

Okay, so f**ken' Regency need the "Eyebrow Height" which is from the centre of the hub to the tip of the mudguard. I need someone with stock springs to measure for me. Schumie?

If you're having to go away & get this measurement, then make it up. What idiots.

Haha, this is true. But I don't know how official it needs to be. Maybe I'll get Tim to list it at the same time as he says that the sway bar end link connections are meant to have vertical play.

I'm so pissed that someone put a f**king placard in my glovebox with the tyre details, pinged me on that too. Otherwise they have sh*t all info on the FTO.

Just be thankful you don't have to mount 'Dogs balls' indicators like Tarkus did for VIC Roads

They said his indicators weren't visible enough and he had to put extra ones on...

Also... As said on FB:

37.5cm front
35.5cm rear

Both sprung weight

What on earth do they need that measurement for?

And what did they ping you for in regards to the tyres?

Probably to do with suspension travel/ride height.

Tyres too tall, or the rolling diameter rather is too much over the 15mm extra allowed.

In SA they determine if your car is too low by measuring hub centre to wheel arch.
They dont measure ground clearance.
My boss got his SS commonhore defected roadside for too low, the cop used the forementioned measurement.

I think they do both actually. But to be under the 100mm and not under the eye brow would probably mean a really low kit.
