FTO wont start! fan goes crazy!

Post by ANBU_fto »

Hello peoples!

So the story goes like this.. I havent started my beloved car for roughly 4-5 years... I know.. I know..
So im trying to restore the car now and I'm having troubles starting her.
The only thing I've done so far is replace the battery and terminals to she if she starts up.
So when I turn the ignition.. the fan starts acting like its on crack and the wipers join them soon after!

Please help!!

I miss driving her so much!!!

Did you leave fuel in the tank?

Yeah replace fuel and give it a lube service. Coolant and oil.

Sounds like you have some wiring gremlins, but start with the basics before anything else.
I fix cars.

Fuel fix for electrical gremlins?... ok

I'd start by removing & re-seating all the relays in the engine bay fusebox. Check all other fuses, check the battery earth on the chassis and engine. May also want to check the wiring on the starter, make sure it's not corroded where the +pos line goes on.
