Sorry to hear :(

I would be asking him for an engine rebuild.
I would state that I want to keep the original engine in the car as it will keep the car at a higher value, ie: I want to keep the car with matching numbers.
Of course this would entail; bored out engine block (to shave away the damaged combustion chamber walls), new oversized pistons, new piston rings etc.

Hi guys got some better news, mechanics called me up and has agreed to do an engine swap and until I'm happy with the work, still very disappointed that the engine gone but i guess i have to slowly move forward, should hopefully have it all done by mid January.

I called ichiban and they dont have any mivec engines, any other places you guys can recommend in Sydney. or even interstate as well probably have to get it palleted down.

Thanks

Took it for a test drive 2 days ago, It Goes good just there one a slight rattle sound from one of the pulleys it was adjusted and went away but the bearing its whining as RPM is increased (might need to replace that) he told me its fine should not have a problem from it apart from noise. :pig:
paper work is all done, pink slip + engine blue slip now just waiting for the air con to be fixed the clutch (wheel) or something on the compressor isnt spinning could be fucked not sure. :drunken:
