Car has trouble starting.

Post by Supplanter »

I haven't been driving my car much lately, maybe once every two to three weeks. Recently, it has been stalling when I first start it, and I need to keep the revs up a bit for 10 to 15 minutes before it will idle properly. I thought at first the battery might be slightly flat so I have been trickle charging the battery and the voltage seems to be ok (tested with a multimetre). When I last had the problem a few days ago, once I got it going I drove it for an hour, including stopping several times for errands and fuel, and it started fine each time. Today when I tried to start it, it stalled again.

Probably just learning the idle again, odd that it's doing it so often though....
Mine only does it when the battery has been disconnected.

That's why I thought is was the battery at first, but I just measured it at 13.3V.

Given that am a ya mama is listing a Hyundai part as well as the Mitsubishi part, can I just get the Hyundai one, because it is a fair bit cheaper. :sidds:
