cold engine start problems

Post by icelus »

hi all, there seems to be a slight problem with the starting of engine and i was wondering if any of you guys could help me figure out what is wrong with it.

my engine would have trouble starting on the first try after being left in the garage for 3 or 4 days, after turning the key to the ignition, the engine sounds like it revs a little before being cut out altogether, but all electronics still working. it is only on the second time, when i turn the key again would the engine start up normally. subsequently, everything would be fine until the next time when i leave the car in the garage after 3 or 4 days again.

could there be a serious issue? i hope its not the stepper motor as i just had it changed a few months ago. lol

Start by putting a bottle of injector cleaner fluid through the fuel tank.
I had the same problem that took about 3 bottles to clear
