Fto wont start

Post by tripsonic »

Ok so i tore the powersteering and ac belt and it was getting no spark changed all coils leads plugs still wouldnt start then i realised a loose wire near the pulleys turns out was the crank angle sensor so i got some new wire and just taped it to the other wire and put ziptied it to keep it away from the belt and then the car finally started was running but reving the car there was a rattle in the engine bay went to drive 30 seconds later the car died and wouldnt start again the wires fine... possible causes? im so stuck please any possibilities would help so much cheers

I'm no expert, but might be the crank angle sensor still? I think people generally have to replace them from what I've seen.

It'll be something you touched or the sensor. And don't just twist and tape wires. Either crimp them or solder them.
