Thanks, I've gone through viamoto and there is a list of part numbers for the idlers etc.

Does anyone know where I could get Koyo parts from? Supercheap sells them? Or Bursons?

Fantastic, thanks guys.
I asked Mitsfix if he would sell me one of this timing belt kits minus the timing belt and he said no so I need to source things individually.

What about the gaskets that I should replace, any reputable brands other that Mitsubishi just so I don't have to wait for weeks from Amayama?

They should be pretty affordable from your local Mitsi dealer.

Thanks Sahin, your uncanny observational skills in that it is an FTO and not a Ferrari are as helpful as they are impressive.

With the cam seal replacement, I assume the cam gears need to come off?
Is any special tool needed to take them off?

And what are the chances of these as well a the half moon seals and crank seal leaking if not changed?
Seeing as I am swapping the timing belt due to age rather than mileage?

The half moon seals might have hardened, which occurred in my case, 6 years ago, when I first had the car.

You should replace the seals for the same reason you are replacing the belt.

Rubber deteriorates with age. For $50 it's better to do it once and do it right then to have to pull everything off again to change them when they do leak. The half moon seals are a common problem on FTOs.

And yes, you need to remove the cam gears to get the cam seals put. There is a spot on the camshaft you can put a spanner on to hold it while you undo the 17mm bolt.

Thanks guys, I'll change them all, just trying to finalize an order from Amayama.

Where can I get a tool that will allow me to adjust the valve clearances? I couldn't find it on Amayama

And can someone tell me, this tool that meek sells:
http://www.meek.com.au/tools/timing-bel ... -tool.html

Is it used for the same purpose as this tool is used for:

Yeah that does the same job although you can't gauge what torque you're applying with the one in the photo

Thanks,
And what rocker cover gaskets do I need in terms of brand and any additional parts (eg, spark plug tube seals, and are there the bolt seals for the rocker cover itself)?

Hey guys,

The brake master cylinder is preventing the rear timing belt cover to come off.
I am not sure if this is because the 6A12 is in the MIVEC or if this is how it is in FTOs as well?

Or does lifting the engine up free up enough space?

I had to break my rear timing cover off when I was going to get it tuned (adjustable cam gears)

Couldn't get it off and was in a rush.

Should come out, just have to struggle with it for a couple of minutes and use a few swear words.
