Steering Column

Alright so i nees to replave my steering column, does anybody have experience in this? My main concern is getting the steering wheel back in the correct spot

Nah, thats not the issue. Getting the bolt out at the bottom of the column and removing the spline is probably the hardest. Take special note of the plastic sleeves near the top two bolts that hold the steering column on. if you forget to put them back in, the column will be sloppy. Also, the key barrel is attached to the column, so you either need to get the new column rekeyed or drill out the special bolts and replace with normal ones.

You can remove the key barrel by putting the key in it and pushing a pin on the underside, no weird bolt removal needed

The new column has a barrel and key for it, but id prefer to keep my old one [emoji14] It seems pretty straightforward, but thats usually never the case [emoji14] what abput the indicators, do they just slide off?

4 phillips head screws under the steering wheel

I did not know that :oops: . That would have been useful in the past.

Oh and I was wrong about the plastic clips. Ive just remembered they are cast steel i think. They slide into slots in the upper column bracket.
