power figures

So you want a hairdryer on your FTO? Or do you already have a hairdryer in it? This is the section for it. All other big power projects & forced induction goes here too.

power figures

Post by Jas mclenzy »

Hey anyone got dyno figures for their set ups? curious to see power per mods.

I got a v6 mivec turbo, but all custom. lowish boost, big front mount, hybrid turbo of skyline bits, extra injector, piggy back computer etc.

Bought from a mate, but he has had it a loooooooong time and can't recall dyno figures when he had it tuned.

stock is 197hp correct? so it would have to be getting close to 300?

At the fly, maybe. Vectose made 192kw atw @14PSI on 98 (decompressed MIVEC turbo with a TD05)

Vipfto made 171kw atw @11PSI on 98 with the non-MIVEC engine.

Bennoz was like 223kw? with the 6A13TT.

Only one way to find out, chuck it on another dyno lol. They do all read slightly different though.

Will try to get mine and my sons on the Dyno in the next month or so as we have no idea what they are putting out.
My SC is 9psi, his Turbo is 8psi at the moment while he's finishing off running it in then he'll be turning the boost up a little but he's already getting loads of torque steer he said.
Should be interesting as he 'should' have more power but i'm betting my graph will look better.

I think my mate said this set up was on low boost an just over 210hp ATW, which seems pretty low....The plugs still look quite dark. Maybe its a safe/rich tune.

What boost people running on stock compression?

That sounds about right for low boost (whatever that is). Tim went up to 11 stock. Probably wouldn't want to go much higher I dare say.

found out it made 206 hp at the wheels with only 6psi, so thats looking good. I am just fitting a plumb back BOV as it had a venting one.
