yes Max it means 10mm led...
check:
http://www.digielite.com.au/ for the 4 led T10/T8 they are quite bright. i used them to replace the 3A brand ones i had.

http://www.ledshoponline.com/automotive ... e_bulb.htm
can get the wide angle t5....but i also used the SPL brand t5 from motorquipe..quite bright, good for the cigarette lighter and also the aircon ( not main screen) you get 5 for 12 bucks...

There's lights meant to be in areal switch and the fog light switch? Damn!!!! they never worked in my car... how's it come apart? I had a look when I had the consol out to replace the globes in the speedo but couldn't see a way to get them further arpart...... Any suggestions? Also did you figure out the size of the globes in them?
What's the best LED's to use in the aircon display? the T10 wide angle?

what you need to do is open the case with a small flat head screwdriver, it has a little "latch" on the side

Thanks Ther.
Will have a look at it soon. going to source some more LED's for the rest first and then move onto the lights that neer worked in the first place :)
am just north of Melb :)

Anyone got any pics of what their dash's look like with LED's? I've gone for Red... just coz everyone seems to be going Blue an green is a little to "old school" for my taste. Red makes the needles stand out ever more so as well :)

what you can't see is that all needles have a really bright red/purplish pink color....

Hey Ther,
You know how you only replaced 4 of the 5 bulbs, yours still looks blue all around!

Mine is white on the temp section and half the speedo!

Hey Mike
It must be because my LED are quite bright and they distribute all around the dash, i still left one normal bulb for the gears part although you can't see it in this pic but you can see how the FTO part still red.
the bulb that i left normal is the one just behind the PRND area. If your speedo and the temp are are white , then it must be that you replaced the wrong bulb, try putting and led in that area and leaving a normarl bulb near the gear side.

yeah mate those are the t5's but i don't know how bright the narva ones are..i guess you need to test them.
Also those look like the narrow angle ones, wide angle have a squarish top.

Hey ruchi, just wondering whether you were still going to do those kits later this year? I would love to pick up a set. :D
I don't like signatures, you are always expected to say something funny or interesting. So I'm not doing one...:)

if u want a nice even spread of light a trick is to use a file and sandpaper. file the top of the LED flat then use a fine sand paper to make all the glass sort of misty.

The Jaycar ones are 3v and without resistors they will just blow and then there will be no light :P

Yep,

You have to puul the plastic casing off the steering column, you can substitute the stadard globe with a T5 ultra bright LED. Its just a similar set up to the cigarette lighter.

Also, the aerial and fog light switches are T3 LED's, don't think they are 12v, I tried a T5 3v LED but it was too big to get the casing back together but it didn't blow when I tested it.

Anyone know how to get the mirror switch apart? I can only get the black bits off the back but can access the PCB. Next project is the window switch on the driver side door.

Cheers
