Standard Bulbs
The FTO primarily uses T5 and T6.5 wedge globes. The T5's are available off the shelf at any car shop,
I need the Clock Standard globes: 2 x T5 but Super Cheap and Jay Car didn't have them. Anywhere else I can try in Sydney please? And do I just replace the bulb in the housing, or will it come with that too?

Thanks.

LOL just did this over the weekend, T10 do not fit through the hole at all, so bought some T5 cheap as sh*t leds and fit perfect in the original holders.

So now have bought 20 of the things on ebay to replace all the others too.

Mines a 95 GPX and there is no way in hell T10 bulbs will fit on mine, just a heads up for anyone else.

T10 do fit, you just need to put them in from the front.

And depending on colour T5 won't be bright enough.

I want to do this to my car.

Read the OP and all I saw was WALL OF TEXT.
Maybe after some sleep and a coffee I will be able to concentrate and make out what is going on lol.

At Vectose, bro its a lot more effort to change em that way, if people can be bothered yes, but they still wont fit the original holders, you would need other holders I think?

But I have found some bright T5s that work a treat, mine are white though, not sure on other colours and how bright they would be?

All others but white are going to look cheap and tacky, I've got green in the climate control and I hate it

It isn't that difficult to put them in from the front, to fit a T10 what you do is remove the T10 casing and put a T5 casing on it, takes about two minutes to do.

I have changed mine to red and it looks pretty good. I tried T5's at first but they weren't bright enough and had major spotting problems, swapped them out for T10's and this is the result.

I am going to be attempting this on both of our FTOs when the gauges are out during the gearbox conversions. Looking at the age of the original guide; are there any recent advances in LED tech that I should be aware of, or is the original guide still valid?

First ones, but you'll also need any T5 LEDS and swap out the casing (red part).

And you put them in from the front.

If you use the second ones, they won't be bright enough.
