Unlikely but you can give it a try.
I would say that the cracks are to deep for the sanding as it would remove a shot load of the cover making it very thin.

I'm going to attempt doing this on 3 cars today! The future mother in law wants me to try fix the lights on her Hyundai Elantra... I'll test this on her car before going on the FTOs

She's buying the materials and everything!

Actually, how much will I need in terms of materials if i'm doing six lights, and how much will it all cost her? I already have a drill and buff components etc, I just need all the polish and sand paper etc!

Picked up all the stuff today but couldn't source a Makita drill. Not going for an el-cheapo wireless since my last Bosch one was crap. I've got a polisher, so will use that instead :)

The last time I tried to do my own work on my EXA, I broke stuff lol.

So I'm thinking I will ask/look around for somewhere or someone that can do this for me.
My headlights look crap at the moment

Started working on the headlights today...I think I used a too high grit to start with. Should have got a 600 instead of the 800 am using...film doesn't want to come off with the 800 it seems. Off to the shops to grab a 600.

Are you using plenty of water while sanding with emery (wet/dry) sand paper?
800 will be plenty coarse enough, it will take quite a while to get through the film, couple of hours each light.

Finished the left side light an hour back. Thanks to Aza for the quick tips in between :) I started around 11.00 in the morning and finished 7 ish with couple of hours break in the middle. But the effort was worth in gold :) I've got super sparky left light now and a crappy right one. Might dedicate Sunday towards it. :thumleft:
