I checked the fuse. Not blown. Multimeter-ed it (ok so Dad did that. I don't own a multimeter). Getting power. So I got stuck in and opened it up. Holy crap it's dirty in there! Turns out the little plastic posts were fubar so I melted the top of the middle one with a soldering iron. Put it back together, sure it wouldn't work, BUT IT DID! Bloody brilliant :) Thanks again Phil. It's little victories like this that make the whole "I'm going to fix this car up myself" just a little bit less daunting.
