Hmm, yes most of em around are autos... manual conversion doesn't cost too much though tbh, if you really wanted manual that bad and were willing to pay the extra for it and cut down on "waiting time" could just buy it + the conversion off someone here and either DIY or get a mechanic to do it for ya.

Yea I've seen this one.. problem was, I'm from ACT.. Idk if I would travel that whole way, or meet halfway (SYDNEY, most likely) uhm.. ye
Would be the ideal car though, low kms & manual.

He did say that he is willing to "ship" the car, I'm sure he wouldn't mind the drive to ACT as long as you put down a deposit.

DIY you're looking at $500 - $1000 depending on how much you source the parts for

Mechanic I'd say $1500 - $2000? Not entirely sure on this one, I'd rather you asked someone who actually went through manual conversion like Toby.

so, 1500-2000 already includes the parts + labour you reckon? if so, that's fine I think..

That's my estimate... another member said that the parts he got were sh*t and it was a lot of effort...(paying another person to install it for him) ended up costing him $5k. So these types of things are hard to guage. It's all about the parts you get and the shop's expertise with the installation. I'd ask some of the other members as they'd be more knowledgeable, I've only left mine as an auto.

hmmm, probably not gonna stray into conversion then lol. Might just find me a stock manual transmission one.

Can get manual conversion gear for around 500 bucks plus little bits and pieces here and there like gearbox oil and small things you may be missing, so you could get away with it for around 700 bucks I reckon.

Yeah mentioned to him the parts cost, but he's unsure of the labor cost and what to look out for etc... that's why I estimated $1500 - 2k assuming he gets a guy who isn't going to rip him off and has purchased quality parts.
